Logan…STAR of the Week

Saturday, February 28th, 2009

Well this week was Logan’s turn to be the STAR of the week at school, so after his great week of being the line leader, door holder and focusing on the letter “R” we decided to do another “STAR” photo shoot of him on his playground. Logan hammed it up for the camera and Isaac was fighting for some camera attention too.
I have changed up the blog a bit so that my photos would come out larger than before, I found this great Photo-Template for free, not so easy to find unless you want to pay professional prices for a photoblog. I am no where near professional but I strive to be an amateur photographer! Oh and just an FYI, I got a new camera…it is TONS of fun, more on that later…and more pictures too!

tell me a secret!!

I asked him to show me his “cute” face

One of these things is not like the other…

Isaac and Logan got haircuts…they call this look “Uncle Paul Hair” It is always so hard to tell them apart after we cut their hair…yes even for Mom and Dad.
So we thought we would have a little fun and play a guessing game with everyone. Can you tell the difference between the boys? Post your answers in the Comments, list them 1 – 8. Anyone can play! We will post the answers in a week.

oh and by special request we are putting the family picture back up…I thought the boots were funny!

ISAAC…Star of the Week!

Saturday, February 21st, 2009
This week Isaac was the “Star of the Week” at school, he got to make a poster filled with photos of himself, his family and his favorite things. In addition to that he got to do special things like be the line leader, hold open the door and got to fill the letter of the week Mystery Box…the letter this week was Q…nothing like having the hardest letter of the alphabet for your mystery box assignment. (Q-Tip was kinda a stretch). We did a little “Star” photo shoot of him after school to share on the blog. Stay tuned for next week…Logan will be the star of the week! Have a great weekend everyone!

easy like a Monday morning…

Little Jonah looked so peaceful this morning that I could not resist taking his picture…again. He is 7 weeks today, He has grown so much and already is not that tiny infant with wrinkled skin…in fact he is getting chunky legs that are too cute. He started smiling last week which has tickled us all and is easily enticed into a smile with a simple grin from anyone who is holding him. He still wakes up arches his back stretches with his arms reaching up over his head with that “old man” look on his face. He is very vocal with his grunts and groans and his cry is getting stronger…and louder which he loves to practice in the car coming home from picking the boys up from school. Isaac and Logan cover their ears and tell him they don’t like “that Song”. I could still smell the top of his head like 50 times a day. It was especially intoxicating last week after he was baptised and anointed with the Crimson oil, the smell lasted for days even after his baths!

Harry and I still are in amazement at how blessed we are with our family and agree that being parents even though it is a sleepless job that requires you to be “on call” 24 hours a day is the greatest experience in this world. We would not trade it for anything.

..I liked both the color and B&W so I decided to share them both…

Out of the Mouth of Babes…

Saturday, February 7th, 2009

Mommy: “You have the best little brother in the world, don’t you think?”

Logan: “Yes but Mommy, God loves all the little babies and thinks they are ALL the Best Babies all over the world.”

Mommy: “Yes you are absolutely right Logan”

I hate Texas cold fronts

Monday, February 2nd, 2009
Seems every time the wind blows down here it flairs up Isaac’s asthma, living in the south has it’s perks and downers…this is definitely one of the downers. When cold fronts blow through our area it brings along with it all the triggers Isaac needs to spend a weekend feeling crummy. Poor guy, he is such a sport about it though…this is where he was comfortable while watching a Marx Brother’s video (they like the strangest things) curled up in the laundry basket with his favorite blanket to keep him warm, he made me smile but it also makes me sad at the same time.

and after a night of everyone being awake from coughing the boys came over and fell asleep in my lap this afternoon

can’t leave out my two other boys…Jonah and Daddy were just “exploring”

hopefully we have an easier week…
