Maggie & Eric Houston Engagement

Friday, January 21st, 2011

The sweet story of Maggie and Eric started with (in Maggie’s own words)…

“So I walked up and blurted ‘Hi I’m Maggie!’ and shook his hand.  He told me his name and then I said ‘Nice to meet you, see you later, I have to go.’  I’m not sure the meeting could have been any more awkward”

“Awkward” is definitely not a word I would use to describe their relationship today.  Fun, bubbly, oh so happy, and completely in love.  I think I had to tell them to stop smiling more than I told them to actually smile!

Maggie said after their initial meeting they later e-mailed each other and set up a date at a wine bar.  Talked for probably 4 or 5 hours and then ended the night with more stories and Whataburger…

These two are so relaxed and fun to be around, even in front of the camera!

It’s super easy to see how in love they are..

Maggie & Eric, thank you for letting me capture part of your story, I can’t wait for your big day!

I was about due for another lapse into non-existance from cyberland however requests have been made and I and pulling myself out of my black hole.

2011…wow that still sounds so strange after 18 days.  Like most years, it has already started to fly by. The truth be told, Harry not only inspires many of our posts but he proofs them and spices them up. Kinda difficult while he is holding down the Canadian fort and I am holding down the Casa de Grilliot in the deep south.  With three monkeys to tame there has been very little room for my communication to the world outside the four walls of our home. Sun up to sun down is maintenance mode for our little family as I’m sure many of you have figured out by the non returned phone calls, e-mails, faxes and pigeon calls.   As the Mayor of Whoville would shout, “We’re HERE, We’re HERE, We’re HERE!” Stay tuned, we will be back up to normal broacasting soon!

And because a post is absoloutely no fun without a picture, here is Jonah and his little friend at the park…note the 3D glasses that I can’t remove from “Mr. Cool” after our movie outing to see “Gulliver’s Travels” on Friday.
