Merry Christmas!

Wednesday, December 26th, 2012

This sweet little snowman celebrated (well really slept through) his first Christmas.  Probably a little overstimulating from what he is use to.  He is passed out on my lap as I post this now.

Hope you all had a blessed Christmas!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Bad Night, Great Morning

Wednesday, December 5th, 2012

Jonah has a fever, sinus infection.  We have to keep him separated from Miles

Harry came home early, took him to the Dr., picked up his antibiotics and even picked up a few things at the grocery store.  He had to make an emergency trip to the bathroom in the store because Jonah thought he would throw up.  False alarm.

He held Miles while I cooked dinner.

Miles screamed.

Twins made birthday cards for their BFF back in Texas, she turns 9 this weekend.

Logan shows me his completed masterpiece birthday card then accidentally ripped it in half.  He was kinda devastated, lots of hugs and hot chocolate with marshmallows seemed to calm him down and re-motivate him to start over.

We finally ate in between nursing, taking Jonah dinner on a tray to his bed, breathing treatments, then I did the dishes

Logan spends about an hour finishing up his second birthday card…(Should I wonder when he signs it, “Extra Love, You are my Star Power!!” huummmmm…..)

My face feels like it is on fire from a new tinted moisturizer I tried today in an attempt to actually not look like the walking dead in my PJ’s all day for the first six months of my babies life, bad idea.

Got the twins off to bed, teeth brushed and loved on before sleep.

Jonah went to bed with Netflix rolling on the  iPad to keep him from wandering back to our room and away from the baby.  Not the best parenting moment but it worked.

Harry got a pain in his shoulder up his neck…more than likely from holding Jonah all afternoon then holding Miles, the screaming doesn’t help with the tension.

Finally got Miles to sleep around 11:30pm…ahhh, settle in for the night

…no wait.

he wakes up at 12:45 to nurse again…then again at 2:00am.

Jonah’s fever is back, Harry “Motrins” him up and starts another breathing treatment.

My face feels like the worse sunburn ever

oh Miles is awake at 4:00am.

oh good grief, he is awake again at 6:00am.

Harry takes Miles so I can sleep for another hour. (Don’t get me wrong Miles is not a bother, it is just that it takes him 45 minutes to eat.  We’re tired, and cranky, I tell myself this won’t last forever)

Harry gets the twins fed breakfast, backpacks, lunch kits, jackets all gathered and off to school

before he leaves, Jonah gets a dose of Tylenol this time for his fever and the house is quiet.

We get up for the day at 9:00am.  I walk past Jonah’s room he is sleeping so soundly.

Miles lets me wash my face, brush my teeth and make the bed.

We come downstairs, the kitchen is clean, hot coffee waiting for me and the dishwasher is emptied and I find this on the counter…

After the night we had Harry still manages to relocate the elf for the boys, and put some thought into it.

I know God loves me and is blessing us because of Harry.

He is such a great husband, dad and elf poser.  I might brag on him more than some of my friends would like me to but I don’t make this stuff up.  Harry works harder than any guy I know, between work (managing multiple projects national and international) traveling, then comes home after a very long frustrating day of meetings about meetings and waiting on others to get their job done, he takes over completely and does a great job of it.

I ran to the grocery store Monday night and came home to find him in the rocker in Jonah & Mile’s room singing what he called “Lullaby’s” to settle the baby off of his i Phone.  I can’t help but laugh when he is singing My Bucket’s Got a Hole in It

Yeah, I got it pretty good.

I’m going to take a nap now.

Lazy Saturday Morning

Tuesday, December 4th, 2012

We have so much to be doing, around the house, laundry, cleaning, putting the house back together after our recent garage renovation (more on that later), but I talked Harry into just lying around with Miles so he could see how happy and awake he is in the mornings…he misses that when he is at work.  Miles coos and “talks” –  he is the most alert then.  They ended up hanging out longer than anticipated, it was perfect.

Jonah has filled his role of Big Brother perfectly.  He loves Miles and is always talking to him…usually getting in his face saying, “I can see you!!!”  Miles loves his company too, he stares and tracks him around the room.  I just know they are going to be the best of friends.
